(Lavender) Infused sugar

Infused sugars are very versatile.

You can use them in teas, warm milks, baked goods and much more.

This recipe will describe how making lavender infused sugar, but you can swap lavender for any other dried herb/flower you want!I chose lavender because

I use this sugar a lot in my evening sleep-potion. It has calming/soothing abilities and works good against sleep problems and nightmares.

I hope you enjoy this recipe and if you make it at home, send me a picture via my instagram so I can feature you!

Recipe

(fully vegan or with vegan options)

Step 1

Crunch your lavenderflowers in the pestle and mortar, just enough to break them. Don’t grind them too much!

Step 2

Add around half the sugar to the mortar and mix with the crunched lavender.

Step 3

Then add the other half and mix well with a spoon

Step 4

Put your mixture in your (air-tight) jar and leave to infuse for at least two weeks.

Step 5

You can sift the flowers out of the sugar after they’ve infused, but it’s not necessary!

Step 6

Enjoy! You can keep this stored on a dry place for about three months for consumption, you can use it longer in things like spelljars for as long as you need.
