Phyto-therapeutics

"Phytotherapy, the use of plant-derived medications in the treatment and prevention of disease."-Encyclopedia

In other words, the science behind the medicinal properties of plants/herbs/fungi etc. ...
These days there is a trend going on in the pharmaceutical-world where there is an increased demand for "natural" remedies. Patiënts are more aware that plants can provide treatment in some ways equally as effective as modern medicine.

And where there is supply, there is demand! In Belgium specifically, there are companies like Phytosun (essential oils), Tillman (Phyto-therapy), IXX-pharma (Phyto-therapy/supplements) who make big bucks on natural remedies. There is also an increase in research surroundingthese fields.
I can only applaud this and I'm hoping this is a trend that will be continuing more in the future.

Green-witchcraft

I've been practicing witchcraft on and off since I was around 13 years old. My mom became a welcome and green-witch around that time and it inspired me to follow her path. Although I'm not really sure for myself where I am as a welcome (I was pretty agnostic up until 2 years ago), I'm always willing to learn and discover more alongthe years.
My interests lie more towards the healing and green aspects of witchcraft and hope to develop a wide knowledge that will guide me to become a more competent practitioner.

My Approach/Vision

I have a vision, that I can combine both my fields of expertise to create a relatively new path to follow for witches and Wiccans.

In my professional and spiritual experience I've come across the feeling that most people think it's one or the other:
You can't support the "big scary pharma-industry" if you are a witch/herbalist, never take modern medicine and so on.
Or if you are, like me, a medical professional you can't support pseudo-sciences and spiritual/natural remedies.

Those statements are not true, and I'm the living proof.

For years I've been guiding patients to the right and logical treatment for their needs. I will always support natural remedies, for example; capsules with valerian to enhance sleeping in or syrups containing elder-flower to soothe sore/prickly throat.
But if it's unrealistic to cure something the natural way, for example a severe clinical depression, I will stand by modern medicine. It's not worth it to undermine your own health due to personal beliefs.

On my website and my social media I will show how both pharma and nature go together and how you can make your own remedies at home.
I will share recipes, info, spells, potions and more for everyone to use.

I hope to someday publish a book with all my knowledge combined.

For now, stay safe and healthy.

Blessed be!

My Approach
